My Saturday and a couple cards...

Saturday morning I had a very cute visitor on my deck railing. This wonderfully fat dove sat there for about 10 minutes... That was after we saw ducks walking across the roof behind us, which Hannah thought was just hilarious! I couldn't get a picture of that! NO, as soon as I got the camera, they flew off! But I thought that this dove was a nice consolation prize!

Then I was informed that due to the fact that Pat and Hannah were going to be working on my Mother's Day whatever, I was to leave to at least 2 hours!

No idea what they were up to, but upon return, I was told that they needed at least another 2-3 hours. Pat said he didn't know it would take that long?! I have no idea what they are up to! But I am sure that today I will be on my own once again!

So, what did I do?? Well, I needed to get my jewelry cleaned and inspected, so I went to Southdale. That wasted about 1 1/4 hours. Knowing that Mother's Day is fast approaching, I ran over to Herberger's to get gift certificates for both of the Mom's.

Really, 2 hours isn't that much time!

So, later in the day, I forced Pat to take me to Eden Praire Mall too! I love to go into Archiver's and look around! And what do you know? They were having a free Make-n-Take! Hannah and I made these cute gate fold cards! (what a deal!, the last thing on Splitcoast was a gable fold card!) What luck! Now I have matching gift cards AND cards for the Mom's!! AND, I don't have to come up with something on my own!!

NO, I couldn't get Pat to make one! Something about real guys and stamping??...

On Thursday morning, I whipped up this card from the Wild Wasabi promo paper! I am really into the Heartfelt Thanks stamp set for some reason right now.. easy to use, and quick! And there are so many different cards that can be made with it!

paper: wild wasabi promo, whisper white, apricot appeal, vellum

ink: apricot appeal, wild wasabi, blue bayou
ribbon: apricot appeal

Not sure what today will bring!
