More Pics...

well, more pictures.. now that I have figured out how to upload them to the computer!!

This is the cute little note pad that I made.. I think that I will make some more of these for teacher gifts.. really cute and super fast!

These are of Hannah getting ready for dance class.. She takes Pre-pointe on Sunday afternoons. She got the pointe shoes for Christmas, and as you can see by the picture on the right she is showing some wear on the toes already!

This is Hannah AFTER class.. She was really tired! And according to her, her feet "hurt"! She really gets a work out at this class!

Thanks for looking...

PICTURES, as promised

Well, as stated before, I have some pictures to share...

Well this is what is left of the Easter Snow Bunny.
OK pretty sad, but since I didn't take a picture before
this is all that is left in our yard now..

It was cute when it was a bunny... REALLY

This is Hannah's newest member of her Build A Bear Family..
This is Nadia.. She made her on Friday morning..

And this is Nadia with the rest of the Build A Bears.
I always get a kick out of it when we are there stuffing
animals, and the staff asks if we have ever done this before..
Let me think???... hum.....

And this is what I made for Easter for the girls at work. These were really cute little box/baskets and I filled them with some kisses and other Easter candy...

Here is Hannah playing Guitar Hero.. Look at that concentration she has! YOU GO GIRL...

This would be Pat.. he does play Guitar Hero too, but he also likes to go into "his room" to play one of his electric guitars.. (And he hates to have his picture taken!)

And the last picture I have to share today is of Gretel the Greyhound... Here she is just relaxing and hanging out in her kennel. She is super sweet and super spoiled.. (OK that is our fault)

Thank for checking out the pictures!

Adding to the blog

Well, as you see, I have added a list of some blogs that I am reading.. I am very happy with myself for actually being able to link these.. WOO HOO!
Karen's blog was my first introduction to blogging. I have been reading it from the start. I love everything she posts. She is incredibly smart and funny. I just love her! And the blogs that she links... like Hillman's blog. (They are the family we got Gretel from).
The Kathryn in Antarctica is pretty cool.. I happened on it, and it is about Kathryn who is heading to Antarctica from March 18- April 6 to install a magnetometer (A magnetometer is a scientific instrument used to measure the strength and/or direction of the magnetic field in the vicinity of the instrument) at the Palmer Station. She is there now, and she has posted some fun pictures and stories.. Hannah and I have both been enjoying her adventures.
Then there is Michelle's blog. She is a Stampin' Up demonstrator too.. I am not sure how I found her, but we are a lot a like. She lives in Canada, and she posts some wonderful stamping projects..
Just thought that I would update you as to what I am up to...
I am going to try to take and upload some pictures.. really I am!!!

Spring Break, Day 1

OK, officially it's not spring break yet.. it's conference days, but it's still spring break.

Today, I didn't have to go to work, so Hannah didn't go to Kid Safari either.. instead, we did some "fun" stuff.. Like go get the oil changed in my car.. which wouldn't have been so bad, except that there were 2 small children who didn't really want to be at the Bloomington-Richfield Honda waiting for their Mom's car.. It said that it was suppose to be a quiet area...well I can tell you that, NO, it wasn't at all quiet!

After that I surprised Hannah with a trip to Build A Bear at the Mall of America.. After about 20 minutes of trying to decide which animal she would make, she decided to make another bear.. AND then it was what to dress it in.. She got a t-shirt and some jeans for Nadia the bear.. (pictures to follow)

We then went to get ticket to Coppellia...

I wanted to do some stamping, but didn't get to that.. I am hoping that maybe tomorrow?? OK, we all know that probably isn't going to happen either.

So that was our "fun" day.. Not sure what tomorrow will bring...

SNOW SNOW GO AWAY!

It's snowing.. it's still snowing.. it's been snowing for over 24 hours. I shoveled, I have no where to put the white stuff. I am sick of snow.
On a lighter note, Hannah is making a snow bunny. She wasn't able to make a snowman this past winter, but now that it is spring, she is making a snow bunny. She is using colored water to "paint" the bunny.. all of 2 colors.. OK 3 if you count the green that she makes when she sprays yellow and blue.. She is doing that for "grass" around the bunny.
I hope that it stops snowing soon... but for now.. it's still snowing..

$34,000 a day for 4 years!

What's it worth to be married to a former Beatle?? I guess according to the British courts, $34,000 a day.. That is what Heather Mills got in the settlement. Most of his $1.6 BILLION was made before he met or married her, so I am glad that she didn't get more. I guess the media was thinking that she might be able to access more.
But, as we all know, she didn't marry him for his money. (yeah right).

and no, her being on Dancing With The Stars did nothing to change my mind about her.. I still think she is a gold digger!

BOB vs BOBALINA

I asked Hannah what she was going to name her Sea-Monkeys... just as a joke, and with out missing a beat.. she said "BOB!".. Really.. what if they are girls??
"BOBALINA!".
So, just so you know, I have a bowl full of Bob's and Bobalina's swimming around. They are getting bigger, maybe 3-5mm now. You can see the spines.. and they look like they swim upside down.
On another note, I have been making some cards, and taking pictures, now if I just learn how to put those on the computer... I mean I learned how to do a blog, you would think that I could just put pictures on the computer.
A job for "Super Pat" if I ever saw one... (I just don't get how to get those darn pictures from the camera to the computer!)
So keep watching, I will try to have some fun pics soon!

Cards and Stuff.. Or What I do in my "spare" time...

Ok, as many of you may or may not know, I am a Stampin Up demonstrator, and I actually do it just to support my habit. Every now and then, I do get crafty and make some stuff.. thought I would share it here with you.. or try to.

This is one of those boards that you make to put pictures on and stuff.. you are suppose to make it with fabric, but I thought that some of the new papers that SU has would be great.. so I tried it.. Hannah loved it!! It's new home is in her room! I am not sure how that happened.. hum...

This little blue card was Pat's 40th birthday card. I liked the colors, had to do something "boyish" for him.

And these 2 are cards for the girls I work with.. I have been making birthday cards for all the girls, and these are the last 2 that I did. I really like the one with the butterfly.. the colors are really pretty, and it was easy.. Ok, that is the best part.. It took me less than 30 minutes for all of them! Gotta love that!

Thanks for looking..

Sea Monkeys... sort of

Well, I tried to take a picture of these "little guys".. not sure how well you will be able to tell that they are in there. Sort of fascinating though. Fun to watch, and they are getting big.. I can't see the feet or the eyes yet..

We Have Sea Monkeys...

Well, it happened.. the sea monkeys hatched.. we have a few little "brine shrimp" swimming around... {I said I would take a picture, but they are really little..} I checked the website for sea monkeys and found out a little about them. They are a species of brine shrimp known as Artemia NYOS. They can live for 2 years {just what I need}, they grow to be anywhere from 1/2-3/4 inch long in 4 weeks, AND, they breath through their feet and the adults have 3 eyes! Who knew?? I did have to move them into the main bathroom, because it needed to be warmer. I guess fishy things like it in there, that is where we had Hannah's beta fish too!

Stay tuned for pictures when they don't look like dust floating in the water!

Hannah's Birthday Party

This is a picture of Hannah's birthday party group! She invited 4 friends to go to Mosiac on a Stick in St Paul. This is a picture of the finished projects! They had a blast! We took in "smore's on a stick
and also fruit kabobs! Eveyone had a blast decorating their mirrors!

When we got back to the house we had cake and ice cream. I made a red velvet cake! It turned out wonderful! EVERYONE thought it was great!

I just wanted to show a picture of the finished product!

Even I have to admit that it turned out pretty good!
And look at the candles!! Hannah picked them out! Aren't they fun??

1st Post

Well, here it is, my 1st post...

I have had this site, waiting for me to post something for a while now. It would still be waiting to post something if it hadn't been for my friend Karen. We had coffee this morning, and we were talking about blogs, she asked me when I was going to start a blog.. "I have one", I said. She wanted to know what it was called and the site, and to be honest, I couldn't tell her, I had no idea! Is that a bad thing?

Well, here it is.. all the things that I might find interesting about me and my family. (although they might not know that they will be featured here!)

Thanks for reading.
